Philodendron ‘Painted Lady’ – Yellow Variegated Climbing Philodendron

Key Characteristics
“Painted” Foliage: Each leaf is a unique work of art, featuring neon yellow or chartreuse juvenile leaves that mature into a mottled, lime-green pattern speckled with darker green.
Vibrant Petioles: A signature trait of this variety is its bright pink-to-red stems (petioles), which remain vivid even as the leaves mature, adding an extra layer of colour to the plant.
Growth Habit: It is a vigorous climbing vine. While it can grow as a bushy shrub when young, it will eventually seek support. Providing a moss pole or trellis allows it to produce significantly larger, more dramatic leaves.
Air Purifying: Like many philodendrons, it is known to help purify indoor air by filtering common household toxins.

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. High light is essential to keep the variegation vivid; in lower light, the leaves may become mostly green and lose their “neon” glow.
Water: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. It prefers the soak-and-dry method and is sensitive to overwatering, which can cause root rot.
Humidity: Thrives in moderate to high humidity (above 50%). Low humidity can cause leaves to emerge malformed or develop crispy brown tips.
