Staghorn Fern is a distinctive epiphytic fern recognised for its dramatic, antler-like fronds and sculptural growth habit. Unlike traditional ferns, it naturally grows attached to trees, making it well suited to mounting on boards or growing in shallow containers with excellent airflow.

The plant produces two types of fronds: flat shield fronds that protect the roots and collect moisture, and upright fertile fronds that create its iconic antler shape. It thrives in bright, indirect light and prefers consistent moisture without waterlogging. Allow the growing medium to dry slightly between waterings, and ensure good air circulation to prevent rot.

Staghorn Fern performs well indoors, on covered patios, or in protected outdoor areas. With the right conditions, it is long lived and becomes more impressive over time, making it a standout feature plant for walls, vertical gardens, and curated plant displays.
