Hoya pubicalyx

Hoya pubicalyx (often sold as “Pink Silver,” “Splash,” or simply “wax plant”) is a vigorous, twining vine prized for its thick, waxy leaves and clusters of fragrant, star‑shaped flowers. Indoors it makes an elegant climber on a trellis, moss pole, or hanging basket, with long arching stems and glossy foliage that can develop silvery variegation.
Light – Ideally, bright, indirect light for most of the day; at least ~6 hours of filtered sunlight. Can handle some direct morning or late afternoon sun, but harsh midday sun through a window can scorch leaves. It will grow in lower light but needs light to flower.
Watering – Hoyas are succulents, so don’t over water. Water moderately, then allow the surface to dry out before watering again. Spring/summer (active growth): typically every 7–14 days indoors, depending on light, pot size, and humidity. Autumn/winter (slower growth): extend to every 10–21+ days; keep the soil just moist, not wet.
Caution: Hoyas are sensitive to sitting in water; ensure excellent drainage and never let the pot sit in a saucer of standing water.
