Lapidaria ‘Karoo Rose’ – Rare Stone Succulent
Lapidaria margaretae, commonly known as Karoo Rose, is a rare and fascinating succulent native to the semi-arid regions of South Africa’s Karoo. This unique plant belongs to the Aizoaceae family, closely related to living stones (Lithops), and is admired for its thick triangular leaves that resemble pieces of stone.
The plant forms compact rosettes made of large grey-green to bluish triangular leaves, giving it a sculptural appearance. In autumn, mature plants produce large, bright yellow daisy-like flowers, which can be surprisingly large compared to the size of the plant.
Because of its distinctive shape and rarity, Karoo Rose is highly valued among rare succulent collectors and indigenous plant enthusiasts.
