Semponium ‘Sienna’ | Rare Hybrid Succulent | 12cm Pot

Semponium ‘Sienna’ is a ground-breaking intergeneric hybrid produced by crossing Aeonium and Sempervivum (bred by Surreal Succulents in the UK). It inherits the structural rosette beauty and tall growth habit of an Aeonium, combined with the hardiness and dense multi-offsetting nature of a Sempervivum. The foliage exhibits a brilliant transformation, changing from lime green in lower light to deep, fiery sienna-red tones when exposed to sunlight.

Growing Conditions

Light: Thrives in full sun to bright, indirect sunlight. Full sun exposure brings out its rich, deep sienna pigmentation.

Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly during active growth (autumn to spring) and reduce watering during summer dormancy.

Soil: Requires a fast-draining, gritty succulent soil mix to prevent root rot.

Temperature and Climate: Highly resilient across South African growing conditions. Protect from severe frost and heavy prolonged rain.

Growth Habit and Mature

Size Forms dense, symmetrical rosettes that branch out into multiple head stems as it matures. Reaches an approximate mature height of 40cm to 50cm with a wide spreading head.

Maintenance:
Low maintenance plant. Protect from standing water in leaf rosettes. Repot into a larger container every 1–2 years using fresh succulent substrate.
