Maxillaria variabilis

Compact growing with small, bright-yellow flowers with red marking on the lip, growing around the base.

Light: medium to bright filtered light. The brighter, the better without direct afternoon sunlight.

Water: allow the soil to dry out slightly between watering’s. Prevent prolonged dryness or pots standing in water for long periods of time.

Humidity: average room humidity is sufficient.

Temperature: normal room temperature is ideal, between 12-22°c. Avoid cold draughts.

Potting medium: use a good quality orchid mix.

Fertiliser: use a well-balanced organic fertiliser once a month during its growing period.
